Other Ways to Give

Your support of the library allows us to continue providing services and resources to the residents of Allegheny County and beyond. Each day, hundreds of individuals walk through the library’s doors – everyone from local college students, business owners, the unemployed, families, retirees, immigrants and more. As a donor, you recognize that libraries are the thread that holds together the fabric of our community. Libraries support literacy and education, gather and provide access to information, support the democratic process, enhance quality of life and build community.

There are several convenient ways to give to the Green Tree Public Library. Direct donations are tax deductible.

Donate Online

The quickest and most convenient way to give is through the library’s donation portal

Donate Via Mail

Donate Your Spare Change

Feel free to stop by the library with your spare change and “feed the kitty.” The library keeps a long-necked cat coin bank in the children's department. She loves to eat coins of all kinds. The library is grateful for all donations, large and small.

Donate through United Way

Does your workplace participate in charitable giving through United Way? If so, please consider designating your United Way dollars to Green Tree Public Library. Our United Way Number is 992844.

Leave a Legacy Gift

“The true meaning of life is to plant trees, under whose shade you do not expect to sit.”
– Nelson Henderson

If you believe Green Tree needs a place that educates, engages and inspires for many years to come, there is yet another way for you to help through a planned gift to the library. Once you have provided for your loved ones in your will, you may want to include a gift of money, stock or property to the library. Your gift will be a lasting tribute to the community.

Thank you for your generous support!
