Join us for the Green Tree Public Library's 2024 Summer Challenge, from June 15 to August 17. Read, have fun, and challenge yourself to learn something new this summer! When you register everyone, from babies to adults, will receive a game board with activity stickers to create a completely customizable Summer Challenge experience. Do these fun activities alone, as a family, or with a friend all summer long to create a your own customized summer to remember!
We’re most excited to invite everyone to kick off the summer right with a HUGE party on June 15 right here at the library with games, sweet treats, music and more.
As always the library will be offering a wide variety of events for all ages. From storytimes for young children to crafts for adults the library has something for everyone. For adults, programs as diverse as kitchen knife skills, the harm of fast fashion and vintage true crime are just a few examples of what is available this summer. Kids of all ages will have scavenger hunts, storytimes, crafts, and a ton of special events too. In June we welcome a real professional wrestler at a special evening storytime, in July teens can learn how to make hanging succulent planters, and in August the Pittsburgh Ballet will be here to invite kids to dance along with the Wizard of Oz.
