Summer Reading Begins Monday, June 10
Summer Reading at Green Tree Public Library is back! Registration is open from June 10 – July 20. The last day to log minutes or books is August 10. Find the programs perfect for you and your family below.
Dig Into Reading: Summer Reading for Young Readers
Children Birth – Preschool can join in on the summer fun by registering for Dig Into Reading. Children and parents will keep track of the minutes they spend reading all summer long to earn prizes and raffle tickets. Children will earn raffle tickets and small prizes for each 100 minutes earned. If children meet or exceed their summer reading goal, they'll be invited to a End-the-Summer Pizza and Pool Party in August. Register HERE.
Questyinz: Summer Reading for Student Readers
A new and improved Questyinz is back! Students entering Grades K – 5 can register for this online summer reading game that supports reading, learning, and exploring. They'll play the game, and keep track of how any minutes they are reading. For each 100 minutes they read, they'll earn a raffle ticket for the library's end-of-summer raffles. Be sure to stop in to the library to record your reading goal too! Everyone who meets or exceeds their summer reading goal will be invited to the Green Tree Public Library's pool party in August! Pick up a Questyinz card and game packet at the library and Register HERE. Note: Questyinz is best played in Firefox or Google Chrome.
Beneath the Surface: Summer Reading for Teen Readers
Teens entering Grades 6 -8 will keep track of how many minutes they are reading all summer long. Teens are encouraged to enter their reading minutes at least once a week in order to be eligible to win weekly gift card prizes. Plus, for every 100 minutes teens read they'll earn a raffle ticket for our end-ofsummer raffles. Meet or exceed their reading goal, and teens will get invited to our pizza and pool party too! Groundbreaking Reads: Summer Reading for Adult Readers
Adults ages 18 and up are invited to participate in Summer Reading by creating a goal of how many books they aim to read. Adults can write book reviews and for each book read and recorded, they'll be entered to win a Kindle Fire. In addition, any adult who meets or exceeds their reading goal will be invited to take home a brand new book to keep! Register HERE.
