Attention Patrons!

arrowThe library will be receiving new and upgraded computers on Wednesday, May 14th. To ensure a smooth transition, public computers will be shut off at 11:45a.m. We hope to have computers ready for public use by 3:30p.m., pending a successful installation and testing of equipment and software. The library will remain open during the installation and testing period with limited services.


4.25.2014 - Preschool Fun Friday ( 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM : Ages 3 to 5)

chickenAre you a fan of our Preschool Storytime? Well then join us for Preschool Fun Friday! In this enhanced Preschool storytime, children will sing, dance, play games, and read books but you never know what else can happen! Topics and activities will vary each Preschool Fun Friday but the good times will always be the same. Children ages 3 to 5 are invited to attend with a caregiver. Registration is required and space is limited. Click HERE to register.

5.6.2014 - Pittsburgh's Annual Day of Giving ( 6:00 AM - 11:55 PM )

gtPlease consider making a donation to the Green Tree Public Library on Tuesday, May 6 - Pittsburgh's Annual Day of Giving. During this 18-hour period, which runs from 6 a.m. until midnight, all donations made to the library through Pittsburgh Gives will be matched with a pro-rated portion of the match pool. Gifts starting at $25 can be paid online with a Visa or MasterCard and are 100% tax deductible. Pittsburgh's Annual Day of Giving has been traditionally held in October; this year, the event is part of Give Local America, the national day for community foundations across the country. Your support of the library allows us to continue providing services and resources to the residents of Allegheny County. Each day, hundreds of individuals walk through the library's doors - everyone from local college students, business owners, the unemployed, families, retirees, immigrants and more. Donors recognize that librareis are the thread the holds together the fabric of our community. Libraries support literacy and education, gather and provide access to information, support the democratic process, enhance quality of life and build community.
