Melinda called the cops on an end-of-summer party before her freshman year begins at Merryweather High School. Now her 9th grade school life is completely different from the one she should have. She doesn’t have any friends, and nobody will talk to her at school. They blame her because they think that she ruined the party. Even Melinda’s former best friend, Rachel, has left her without trying to learn why Melinda made that call. Melinda is sad, depressed and barely speaks to anymore.
