Have you been craving sunshine? Are you sick of the gray February days? Does spring seem like it’s just a dream? Whether you’ve had enough of winter or a foot of snow would make you jump for joy, we have plenty of programs to help you shake off the winter blues (or make the most of) the rest of winter at the library!
Winter can leave many of us feeling a little isolated; if you’d like to meet new people, come to one of our many social groups. The library hosts several monthly groups: a conversation salon to discuss current events, a book club, a cookbook club, a board game group, and an art discussion group. For full descriptions, dates, and times, visit our events calendar
Have you been thinking about ways that you can make a difference in your community? Literacy Pittsburgh is looking for volunteer tutors! Learn more about their mission in our Learn About Literacy Pittsburgh program on March 6th. You can also get involved directly with the library; stop by the circulation desk on your next visit and pick up a volunteer form, or click here to learn about the Friends of the Library and how you can join.
These are just a few of the events we have to offer; our spring events calendar is packed with great programs for kids and adults and registration is now open. You can register on our website or call the library at 412-921-9292. We hope to see you this spring at the library!
