Astronomy Night at the Library

July 11 @ 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm

Free

Spend an evening under the stars with Larry McHenry, an active amateur astronomer for over 40 years. He will be giving two presentations: Stargazing: An Introduction to the Constellations and Night Sky Mythology and Observing the Moon for Beginners: An Introduction to our Nearest Neighbor. After the presentations, weather permitting, there will be an outdoor observing session, starting around 9:00 p.m. with several telescopes to observe the planets Jupiter and Saturn, along with the waxing moon, star clusters and nebulae.

This program is free and open to adults and children ages 10 and up. Registration is required.

This program has been made possible through the generosity of the Friends of the Library.
