You might have heard about Ancestry.com, a popular website used to research family genealogy. Do you know that you can try it at the library for free? Ancestry Library delivers billions of records in census data, vital records, military records, photos, and more. You can search by first name, last name, places your ancestor might have lived and birth year. You can also download charts and forms to organize your research.
Here’s a quick start to Ancestry Library
- Visit Green Tree Public Library. Log in to the computer and visit the library website. If you use your own computer or devices, connect to the library’s wifi. Place the cursor over Collections and click on Research and Reference.
- Click on Biography and Genealogy.
- Click on Ancestry Library.
- Ancestry Library website will open. Discover your family history!
