Green Tree Public Library offers programs for everyone from birth through adulthood. The library schedules programs on a quarterly basis and all programs can be found on our Events Calendar. The Events Calendar is updated at the beginning of each season. Some programs may require registration, have a small registration fee, or other terms and conditions. Interested patrons can register for a program through our Events Calendar, by calling the library at 412-921-9292, or in person.
Programs for Children
The library strives to offer unique and quality programs for children of all ages to enjoy. Many different types of storytimes for children from birth to age 5 are held regularly during the week. Storytimes are hosted by a librarian and include song, dance, rhyme, body movement, activities, and of course, books. In addition, the library schedules monthly evening storytimes, after-school events, craft sessions, special holiday programs, and guest performers on a seasonal basis. All scheduled programs are listed on the Events Calendar. Please see each individual event for details.
Programs for Adults
The library holds a wide variety of programs for adults throughout the year. In addition to a monthly book club the library often offers foreign language courses, health and wellness workshops, local author visits, and many other guest speakers that reflect the needs of the community and trends in popular culture. All scheduled programs are listed on the Calendar of Events. Please see each individual event for details.
