It’s almost time for National Dog Day! Celebrated every year on August 26th, National Dog Day began in 2004 as a way to bring awareness to the number of dogs in shelters and encourage adoption. It’s also a day to celebrate and honor dogs of all breeds and the role they play in our lives.
How can you celebrate National Dog Day? You could take your dog (or dogs) for a long walk, have a picnic, share photos on social media, or get creative with dog-friendly recipes. You could even sign up to volunteer with a local shelter or make a donation to help shelter dogs in need. Take a few minutes to do something special for the canine companion who brings so much happiness to your life!
